Ruangmei Christian Fellowship Delhi (RCFD)
To God be the glory, the Ruangmei Christian Fellowship Delhi (RCFD) held its first worship service on 6th February 2011 at the United Church, CNI, R.K. Puram, Sector 6, New Delhi. But the story of RCFD began long before that. It was birthed in the hearts of faithful Ruangmei Christian leaders, such as the late Rev. Kabi Gangmei, who fervently prayed and interceded for a Ruangmei fellowship to be established in the heart of India's capital. Their vision was to create a Christ-centered community to minister to the spiritual needs of the Ruangmei believers residing in Delhi's vast metropolis.
By God's providence, the fellowship took shape, and the first pastor, Rev. Jaojian Gangmei, was installed. Along with him, the first executive members—Mr. T.P. Eliah and Mr. R.K. Dipuanang—were appointed, with Mr. Machunlung Kamei, IRS and Ms. Lansinglu, Advocate, serving as advisors. The installation and commissioning service was led by Rev. T.P. Mordecai and the late Rev. Meijaulung Gonmei, accompanied by other church leaders such as Mr. Lanrilung Kamei and Mr. Kagunai Gangmei, who journeyed from home to witness this milestone.
RCFD functions under the umbrella of the Ruangmei Christian Cities Mission (RCCM) and is affiliated with the Ruangmei Naga Baptist Association (RNBA) and the Ruangmei Baptist Association, Nagaland (RBA). In its early days, the Fellowship was graciously supported financially by RNBA (now RBCC) and RBA Nagaland, particularly in providing the pastor's emolument. Through God's abundant provision and the faithful giving of members, RCFD is now able to sustain its ministry independently.
The journey has not always been easy, but God has remained faithful. Over the years, RCFD has grown in grace and strength, and all departments and societies continue to serve the Lord in unity and purpose. When Rev. Jaojian Gangmei was called to shepherd RNBA Centre Church in Imphal, God raised up the then Associate Pastor, Mr. Thuankulung Judah Pamei, who was installed as the Pastor of RCFD on 1 March 2020.
By the grace of God and through the generous support of the Ruangmei community, RCFD has been blessed to acquire a plot of land in Burari, where a vision is unfolding to build the Ruangmei House Delhi (RHD)—a space dedicated to worship, fellowship, and mission.
Indeed, the vision God placed in the hearts of a few has become a blessing for many. As we look back with gratitude and ahead with hope, we trust that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
Soli Deo Gloria – Glory to God Alone.
Our Beliefs
The foundational doctrines that guide our faith and fellowship
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Holy Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible was written by men who were moved by God, and it is without error in its original form. It is our highest authority in all matters of faith, life, and worship. Every part of the Bible—history, poetry, doctrine, and prophecy—is true and useful for teaching and living a godly life (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).
THE TRINITY (THE GODHEAD)
We believe in one true and living God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and glory and are one in essence, having the same divine nature and attributes (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
GOD THE FATHER
We believe that God the Father is the Creator and Ruler of all things. He is holy, wise, loving, and just. He plans and works all things for His glory and the good of His people (Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 1:3–6).
JESUS CHRIST, THE SON
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He became fully human through the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again to judge the living and the dead (John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:11).
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives new spiritual life to sinners, lives in every believer, and helps us grow in holiness. The Spirit gives gifts for ministry, leads us into truth, and empowers us to live for Christ (John 16:13–14; Romans 8:9–14; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11).
HUMAN BEINGS AND THE FALL
We believe that God created human beings in His image—holy and without sin. But through Adam's sin, all people became sinful by nature and choice. This means we are spiritually dead, separated from God, and unable to save ourselves. Only God's grace can rescue and change us (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1–3).
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by good works or religious efforts. Those who believe are forgiven, made right with God, and adopted into His family. True saving faith leads to a changed life (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
THE CHURCH
We believe that all true believers are part of the universal Church, which is the body of Christ. A local church is made up of baptized believers who gather regularly for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission. The Church exists to glorify God and make disciples of all nations (1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Acts 2:42–47; Matthew 28:19–20).
THE ORDINANCES (SACRAMENTS)
We believe that the Lord Jesus gave His Church two ordinances:
• Water Baptism – an outward sign of our faith in Christ, showing that we have died to sin and been raised to new life with Him. Baptism is for believers only (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4).
• The Lord's Supper – a remembrance of Christ's death for us. It strengthens our faith and points us to His return (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
These are signs for the church, but they do not save us.
THE LAST THINGS
We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously to judge the world and bring final justice. The saved will live forever with God in joy, and the lost will be separated from God forever in judgment. This hope gives us courage to live holy lives today (Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:11–15; 2 Peter 3:10–13).
